Handmade Solid Oak Tree Swing
Handcrafted in the UK from premium quality solid oak, this traditional oak tree swing is designed for years of enjoyment by both adults and children. Beautifully made and extremely robust, it makes an attractive feature in any garden.
Our wooden tree swings can be personalised with engraving, making them ideal for children’s names, family or house names, special dates or favourite sayings such as UP UP & AWAY or REACH FOR THE STARS.
Premium Quality, Sustainable Oak
We use only carefully selected, prime quality oak that has been thoroughly kiln dried. Each swing is individually handcrafted, with the medium oak swing made from one solid piece of oak.
All our timber is FSC 100% certified and ethically sourced from sustainably managed forests, with certification documentation available if required.
Oak’s naturally high tannin content makes it particularly suitable for outdoor use. Your swing can be left outside and will remain structurally strong, although—as with any natural timber—it will gradually weather and develop character over time.
Traditional Polyhemp Swing Ropes
Each oak swing is supplied with strong polyhemp tree swing ropes, combining the traditional appearance of natural rope with excellent durability and a comfortable feel in the hands.
We hand splice the ropes onto each swing, with the splice passed through seven times and the ends heat sealed to help prevent fraying.
Solid Oak Rope Adjusters Included
Your swing also comes complete with our solid oak rope adjusters, allowing each rope to be independently adjusted so that the seat can be levelled and positioned at your preferred height.
The adjusters also make it easy to remove the swing when required.
A hanging and safety guide is supplied with every swing, explaining common methods of attaching your swing to a suitable tree branch together with important safety information.
Please allow approximately three turns of rope around the branch when calculating the rope length required.
