These handcrafted swings are constructed from premium quality Kiln Dried Oak. A lovely feature for any garden, they can be personalised for the perfect home gift - add a child’s name, house name or your favourite phrase like ‘Reach for the stars’. 
The wood is ethically sourced from sustainable forests to FSC 100% (Global Forest Certification System) standard. Each piece of our quality, kiln dried wood is carefully chosen and expertly crafted. 
The ropes are 20mm thick and extremely strong polyhemp. The breaking strain is 5.5 tonnes... and there are two of them! This provides very long life whilst being soft on the hands and retaining that traditional look and feel. The ropes are hand spliced in the traditional way to add an additional (and very secure) feature to this attractive swing. Spliced over five times on each side, the ends are then heat sealed to prevent fraying. 
 
The swings come with 3.5 metres (11.5 ft) of 20mm (0.75 inch) rope on each side. This is measured from the seat to the end of the rope. The amount we actually use is over 6 metres which is used in the traditional splicing.
Size: 560mm (22inches) x 400mm (16inches) . The oak beams are 60mm (2.3 inch) thick and the slats are 20mm (0.8 inch) thick
Comes with solid oak adjusting blocks so that you can easily adjust each rope to make the swing flat and at your desired height from the ground. They also make it very easy to take the swing down if needed. A leaflet will be provided with your order clearly showing you how to hang your swing, explaining the common ways to fix your swing to a branch. It also includes some important safety information.
