Our round oak swing is made from premium quality oak and is hand crafted on the lathe. This type of swing is great fun for children and the ‘young at heart’ – a great addition to any garden with its simple, natural design.
The oak is 45mm (1.75inches) thick and the rope has a breaking strain of over 5 tonnes. Each piece of our quality, kiln dried wood is sustainably sourced, carefully chosen and expertly crafted to make your product. Our swings can be left outside and will remain structurally strong despite any signs of weathering due to the wood’s naturally high levels of tannin.
The swing comes with 3.5 metres of 18 mm Poly Hemp Rope. Poly Hemp Rope is ultra strong and soft making it easy to grip. It is weatherproof, UV resistant and will not change size when wet. Because of this it has an incredible long life span.
The swing looks great personalised with a child’s name or a fun saying. Popular choices include:
- SWING HIGH
- FLYING HIGH
- REACH FOR THE STARS
- UP UP & AWAY
The swing comes with a solid oak adjusting block so that you can easily adjust the rope to your desired height from the ground. They also make it very easy to take the swing down if needed. A leaflet will be provided with your order clearly showing you how to hang your swing, explaining the common ways to fix your swing to a branch. It also includes some important safety information.
SIZE
Our swing measures 30cm diameter x 4.5cm deep
